CATIA: Programme engagement with media on ICT Policy

Background:

The Catalysing Access to ICTs in Africa (CATIA) programme has nine components which are working with a range of stakeholders, including with media, to achieve their objectives. Each component has a different emphasis and approach to engagement with media.

Project Synopsis:

Open Research has been commissioned to develop a report that will be shared at the upcoming Highway Africa 2005 conference in Grahamstown. The purpose of the report is to look at how the CATIA programme is engaging with media in Africa (both community and commercial), and the lessons being learned from this engagement. The emphasis will be on the engagement of media in ICT policy and regulatory processes.
